Lovelace Medical Group was pleased to host a ribbon cutting at its newest clinic at Las Estancias in Albuquerque’s South Valley today!
We were especially honored that Senator Michael Padilla, majority whip of the NM State Senate, was able to take time out of a busy legislative session to join us in the celebration and take a tour. Bernalillo County Commissioner Steven Michael Quesada also joined us, as well as Ambassador Wayne Overall from the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and several other important members of the community.
The new clinic is the southernmost Lovelace clinic in Albuquerque, and at 9,000 sq ft will provide much needed medical services to an area that has been in dire need of medical facilities.

As we prepare for our Day of Dance event on February 4th, we will be featuring the contestants who will be competing in our Duke City Dance Off. Our second contestant is Emily Bowman, News Producer for KOB-TV.
We asked Emily what advise she would give to people who want to start dancing to improve their cardiovascular and overall health:
“I once read a quote that said to do something outside of your comfort zone every day. For a lot of folks dance can be just that! It might be something that makes you nervous to try, but don’t let that fear stop you from giving it a go. You might end up loving it and it can improve your health at the same time! Besides dance, I love lifting weights! On top of that, I play on two indoor soccer teams as well as an outdoor soccer team in the fall and spring. I also try to drink a gallon of water a day while eating mostly whole foods, with the occasional donut for my own well-being!”
Emily’s always been a big fan of the movie Dirty Dancing and her dream dance partner would probably be Derek Hough. Her favorite “fad” dance move is the worm! To learn more about Day of Dance or to RSVP, click on the link below! https://goo.gl/GCk6qQ.
